Hey folks!! It’s been a few weeks/months (?) since my last blog so here we are… This one will be a little shorter though but I’m going to share pics and stuff from our recent event!! But first here comes the FSG info:

Before I get into the event info I need to apologise; in my last few blogs I included the option to click on a pic to enlarge it because people wanted that. Sadly WordPress (the blog site I use) has removed that option from the tools available to me (or hidden it) and I just can’t work out how to do it anymore 😦 .
But event stuff anyway!!
Last month on the 20th of April we held our first ever “FSG Saturday Slapdown: Raw” party/event 🙂 . The folks at the Blacklist Bunker had let us pinch one of their weekend party slots so Esmi, Dal, and Diavkha came up with a new concept using a Second Life fighting game system. An announcement was posted in the FSG discord server and fighters were asked to sign up. The team then built an awesome fight arena/party area and “Saturday Slapdown: Raw” was born!
As with all FSG and Blacklist events we wanted the full party vibe though so we had two DJs: London; who played a banging set full of rock, metal, and other adrenaline pumping tracks. Oh and me; I played a synthwavey set which included some beat-em-up video game and wrestling inspired tunes 😉 .

Dal even performed as our ring announcer/ring boi/fight commentator and was channeling WWE Attitude era Jim Ross at points (if you know you know).
We had 6 fighters sign up initially plus 2 wildcard slots (which were open to folks attending the event) for an 8 person tournament bracket. Esmi even made some sweet fighter card pics…
The awesome fighter line-up was completed by Gabbabae and Pear who both bravely stepped up on the night as untrained wildcard fighters!
The fight results were as following…
Quarter Finals:
Geo defeated Dia, Eden defeated Esmi, Kelis defeated Oaklyn, and Gabbabae defeated Pear.
Semi Finals:
Kelis defeated Geo and Eden defeated Gabbabae.
Third place match and Final:
Geo defeated Gabbabe to claim third place. Kelis defeated Eden to become the first ever FSG Saturday Slapdown: Raw Champion!!
Prizes for the top 3 places were:
1st Kelis – L$1500
2nd Eden – L$1000
3rd Geo – L$750
Luckily none of our combatants required medical attention even though we had a nurse at ringside…

We think everyone had an awesome time and the turnout for a new event was epic (the crowd energy was wild!) so we’ll plan for FSG Saturday Slapdown: Raw to return in the future!! Maybe next time with a bigger fighter roster 🙂 I think it’s best if I let Dal – who was our announcer after all – have the final say on how the event went though:

I’d also like to thank our admin team for making this happen. It’s amazing what we can do as a team when we come together. Time for other FSG news and things though…
So in recent weeks Blacklist DJs Esmi and Lexie have both been playing one set a month at either the FSG Penthouse or Mady’s Playground which has been huge for us at FSG. A big thank you to them both and to the Blacklist Crew for letting their DJs guest at our locations!!
We’ve also expanded our FSG Thursdays DJ line-up!! After a super fun debut set a couple of weeks back Kelis has joined the team and will be playing on a three week rotation with our other epic DJs Moira and Geo 🙂 .
Don’t forget to join us this Thursday at 12pm SLT for Geo’s set!
There’s more though!!
Last month I played a Friday set during more USA friendly hours and seeing as that was super well received we’re doing it again. This time London is going to guest DJ and having seen her set list I can promise it’s going to be awesome! She’ll be at Mady’s Playground (@ Femboy Style Guide) on Friday the 3rd of January at 6pm SLT. Keep an eye on the server for more info.
Blacklist will also be hosting a party this Saturday at 12pm SLT; join the gang at Sheboys as Sandra and Daxia will be DJing!! 🙂 .
Semy Says…
We’ve got more things being planned and some fun new projects in the pipeline for the next few months (the Fashion Show date for later this year has been set but it’s a secret ;P ). That said our team is going to slow down a little bit for the next month so we can work on stuff for the future and just enjoy time in Second Life. I’ll be back with more news before long though 🙂 .
